After the meeting of the NUpengassan and NNPC top mgt, the total strike action embarked upon by the unions has been suspended.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) staff union has suspended its industrial action, which shut down all facilities of the corporation on Wednesday.
Announcing the end of the strike action, NNPC, via its Twitter handle, said the unions are now ready to work in the restructuring of a new NNPC.
“The Group Executive Councils of PENGASSAN and NUPENG have resolved to support the restructuring and change process towards a #NewNNPC.”
