Jilted Lover Stabs Ex To Death

Osita Amanunwa a 36 year old trader from Anambra,
has stabbed his girlfriend, Onyinyechukwu Alaeto to
death for dumping him, and dating another man.
Osita who happens to be a trader at Alaba
International market, went to "visit" Onyin as she
was fondly called. Upon getting to her house at Iba,
he was told that she went to visit a friend at
Ajangbadi area of Lagos. Osita hurriedly went to the
house.
Investigations revealed that the deceased who also
works at Alaba market, was in the compound
chatting with her host unknown to her that that will
be her last "happy moment".
According to an eyewitness report, as soon as Onyin
saw her ex, the smile on her face vanished. However,
she summoned up courage and greeted him, but he
hissed and walked away. Minutes later, he returned
and beckoned on her to come.
Onyin in her usual manner excused herself and left
the compound.
After waiting for a while, her host felt uneasy and
decided to check on her. Dreadfully, Onyin was found
in an isolated spot in the pool of her own blood with a
knife still thrust in her neck.
She was also discovered to have managed to crawl
from the isolated spot to an open area. But her
strength failed her midway, owing to much loss of
blood.
At this point, Osita was nowhere to be found.
Sources say, the duo had a romantic relationship that
lasted for six years, a relationship that was to lead to
marriage until Osita allegedly raped Onyin's younger
sister.
It was also gathered that Osita who surprisingly is
married, had on several occasions beat Onyin
publicly, for calling off the relationship, boasting that
if he could not have her, nobody else would.
Policemen at Ilemba Hausa were immediately
alerted. Unfortunately, no arrest has been made
because the suspect's whereabouts is unknown.
However, the case has been transferred to the State
Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) where
operatives at the Homicide section have reportedly
begun investigation.
