Roman Abramovich tried to re-sign Didier Drogba. The
Chelsea owner reportedly offered him a six-month deal
with the option of another year, but Drogba turned it
down.
Chelsea are preparing to make a bid for England U21
goalkeeper Jack Butland. Reports suggest Birmingham
may accept an offer of around £3m.
Fulham and Norwich are both going to make three
million pound bids for QPR forward Jamie Mackie.
Norwich will make an improved £7m bid for Gary
Hooper. It's reported Celtic have already rejected a
£4.5m offer the striker.
Southampton will turn his attention to Hoffenheim
midfielder Roberto Firmino after missing out on
Philippe Coutinho. The Saints are prepared to pay as
much as £7m for the Brazilian.
Bradford's Nahki Wells is a transfer target for Leeds. He
will be a replacement for Luciano Becchio who is
reported to have handed in a transfer request.
Crystal Palace want Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-
Blake. He's out of contract in the summer.
Galatasaray are interested in signing Kolo Toure from
Manchester City - Although no formal offer has been
made.
Galatasaray have also made a bid to sign Didier Drogba
from Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua - according to the
players management company. The Istanbul outfit
have already brought in Wesley Sneijder - and Turkish
TV are claiming Drogba has agreed a one-and-a-half
year deal.
