There are strong indications that Manchester United could snatch Super
Eagles of Nigeria captain Ahmed Musa, as Van Gaal’s men have shown
interest in bringing the CSKA Moscow striker to Old Trafford.
Also, Premier League leaders Leicester City are still very much interested in signing Nigeria’s Ahmed Musa despite having an initial bid turned-down by CSKA Moscow.
The Russian Premier League club earlier rejected a $21.6m (£15.1m) offer and are now poised to improve the fee up to the tune of $27m (£18.9m) valuation of the forward.
The Foxes and Manchester United are now in a race to snap the Nigerian, but the Old Trafford side are said to have started negotiation with Musa’s United Kingdom-based agency.
However, Leicester have vowed not to let the former VVV Venlo and Kano Pillars slip and promise to make an improved bid before the close of the transfer window.
The Super Eagles captain is said to be open to move to the EPL following a $32.5m (£22.8m) buyout clause in his contract, which runs until 2019.
