radio station, Search FM, in Gida Magoro, was
completely razed down by fire on Wednesday
morning.
Property and equipment worth millions of Naira were
destroyed by the fire.
The university's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Musibau
Akanji revealed that the fire was caused by an
electrical fault.
He further disclosed that school authority had
commenced full investigation into the fire incident
and efforts were on top gear to fix the damage
caused by the inferno.
"The station will be back on air as soon as possible."
He promised.
The three-year-old radio station was awarded the
best campus radio station at the Radio Nigeria
Awards that held recently.
