Bomb blast at Festac

Reports filtered in around midday today of an explosion under the popular Festac Bridge off the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway.

The explosive was reportedly planted in a car.
One of those suspected to have been killed was the chairman of the sand sellers association in the area and his police orderly was also affected.
The Anti-Bomb Squad of the Nigeria Police has arrived at the scene.
Sources said the sand sellers association has been engulfed in crisis in the last few months.
