new video for his latest single "Lighters Up,"
"Lighters Up" was produced by Major Lazer and
Dre Skull and features Mavado and Popcaan.
"We were searching for true reggae music," Snoop
Lion said of Reincarnated. "That's what this record
is all about. It's about paying homage and giving
love to those who created reggae music and
honoring what it was made for."
Diplo and Major Lazer handled the production for
Reincarnated, which will be released in Spring
2013.
"Snoop is an icon in the game and in the streets
and it was an honour to be a part of the video,"
Mavado added. "The whole Gullyside family feels
good to know that Jamaica is going to get a
positive highlight from the video and we are all
excited about the release."
Snoop documented his time in Jamaica recording
Reincarnated, which will be released as a film with
the same name, on March 15.
"Everyone has a right to decide his own destiny,"
said Rohan Marley, Son of Bob Marley and Director
of Ambassador House of Marley. "We need more
brothers like Snoop Lion to seek Rastafari, seeking
the truth about life- live in love- Jah Rastafari,
